Performing arts fund invites proposals

MARSHFIELD — Nonprofit performing arts groups in central Wisconsin are invited to submit proposals for grants from the Greg and Sally Rindfleisch Performing Arts Fund through the Marshfield Area Community Foundation.

The purpose of the fund is to provide monetary grants each year to nonprofit groups within a 30-mile radius of Marshfield in order to enhance the quantity and quality of performing arts programs in central Wisconsin. Grants may be awarded to support seminars; workshops; guest artists; field trips; concerts; productions; recitals; or performance events in music, theater, and dance.

Since 2007 grants totaling more than $20,000 have been awarded to groups including the LuCille Tack Center for the Arts, Central Chamber Chorale, Spencer Public Schools music department, Chestnut Center for the Arts, Marshfield Middle School drama department, UW-Marshfield/Wood County campus music department, Columbus Catholic Schools drama department, UW-Marshfield/Wood County’s Campus Community Players, New Visions Gallery, and the Highground Veterans Memorial Park.

Packets that include information on the fund’s history and mission and an application form with criteria, guidelines, and procedures are currently available at the Marshfield Area Community Foundation, 907 N.
