Patricia K. Kromanaker, age 69, of the Town of Spencer, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at her home, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family and under the compassionate care of Compassus Hospice.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Friday, October 16, 2026, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Spencer, with Rev. Nathan Thanaise officiating along with Deacon Ray Draeger as the homilist. Following the Mass, Patricia’s remains will be entombed at McMillan Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Marshfield. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Thursday, October 15, from 4 PM until 7 PM at Life Tributes Funeral Home in Spencer and again on Friday at the church from 9:30 AM until the time of the Mass. The honor of serving as pallbearers belongs to her godchildren, Elizabeth Beres, Tanner Kleinschmidt, Marissa Salzman, and Tammy Kleinschmidt.

Patricia was born on April 30, 1957, in Neillsville, the daughter of Anthony and Anita (Genskow) Schecklman. She was a graduate of Loyal High School. On April 23, 1983, Patricia was united in marriage to Kenneth Kromanaker at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Loyal. Together, they shared 43 wonderful years of marriage.

Patricia dedicated much of her working life to caring for and serving others. She worked in food service at Marshfield High School and had previously worked for Figi’s in Marshfield, Marshfield Clinic, and Security Health Plan, leaving behind many lifelong work friends and cherished memories. Recently, through her years at Marshfield High School, she formed special connections with coworkers and students.

A woman of strong faith, Patricia was a faithful member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Spencer. Her faith and the relationships she built within her church community were an important part of her life.

Patricia loved staying active and spending time outdoors. She enjoyed running, riding her bike, and participating in 5K races. She was always happiest when she was on the go and enjoying life. At home, she loved spending time in the kitchen cooking and baking, especially making her favorite scotcharoos and pumpkin bars—treats that will surely be remembered and missed by those who enjoyed them.

Patricia’s memory will forever be cherished by her loving husband, Ken Kromanaker; her sons, Jordan Kromanaker and Luke Kromanaker, both of Eden Prairie, MN; her siblings, Bonnie Dietsche of Marshfield, Jolene (Thomas) Zwicke of Wisconsin Rapids, and Tim Schecklman of Appleton; along with many lifelong work friends and students, whose lives she touched throughout the years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Anita Schecklman; her brother, Richard Schecklman; brother-in-law, Lee Dietsche; and sister-in-law, Mary Schecklman.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Patricia’s name may be directed to Children’s Miracle Network or The King’s Pantry Food Shelter in Spencer.

Patricia’s family would like to extend their most heartfelt gratitude to Liz and the entire Compassus Hospice team for the exceptional compassion, kindness, and care given to Patricia and her family during this time.

Patricia will be remembered for her loving heart, strong faith, active spirit, dedication to others, and the many lives she touched throughout her 69 years. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
