One person dead at logging site

NEILLSVILLE – One person has died at a logging site in the Rock Dam area, in the township of North Foster.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call of a possible death at about 4:43 p.m., on Dec. 1. Initial investigation indicates that a logging employee had died near some logging equipment.

The worker was pronounced dead at the scene by Coroner Richard Schleifer. .

The Greenwood Area Fire and Ambulance Service responded to the scene, along with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, Mayo Air Ambulance and Coroner Schleifer.

The accident is still under investigation by the Clark County Sheriff’s and Coroner’s Office and OSHA.
