MARSFHIELD–Thursday, Aug. 7, at Hotel Marshfield, New Visions Gallery held their third annual “Mustache Party” in an effort to raise money to support the operations of the gallery. Guests were invited to take part in a silent auction, bingo, and trivia as hor d’oeuvres circulated the banquet. Attendees also had the option of having a caricature of themselves done.
New Visions Director, Betsy Tanenbaum, said that the gallery needed to find more ways to raise money outside of their biggest event of the year, “Fun d’ Arts,” which takes place in February.
In describing the idea behind the Mustache Party, Tanenbaum said, “We wanted to do something where people could let loose and have fun, and have child-like fun as adults and be completely silly.”
Tanenbaum said the event was growing every year, and the funding goal was $4,000 for the Mustache Party.
