MARSHFIELD – Nelson-Jameson's newest distribution center has achieved a perfect 100% score on its first Safe Quality Food (SQF) audit, the Wisconsin-based food processing distributor announced.
The Jerome strategic distribution center, which opened in 2024, earned the top rating from the SQF Institute, marking the company's fourth consecutive perfect score across all facilities in the past year.
The SQF certification indicates a company's commitment to safely receiving, handling, storing and delivering quality products. A 100% score represents the highest level of food safety and quality standards.
"Our Jerome distribution center earning a perfect SQF certification illustrates that our dedication to food safety is a throughline in everything we do in every facility we have," said Mike Rindy, Nelson-Jameson president.
The SQF program requires companies to follow specific codes and maintain continuous documentation throughout the year. Eagle Certification Group, an independent company authorized by the SQF Institute, conducted the audit.
Founded in 1947 and based in Marshfield, Nelson-Jameson is a fourth-generation, family-owned distributor serving the food processing industry. The company operates distribution centers in Wisconsin, California, Idaho, Pennsylvania and Texas.
