Neillsville shuts down Auburndale girls basketball in opener

Apaches held to four made field goals

AUBURNDALE — Neillsville held Auburndale to just four made baskets on its way to a 38-15 nonconference victory in the two girls basketball teams’ season opener Thursday night at Auburndale High School.

Neillsville led 18-8 at halftime and pushed its lead to 20-plus points in the second half.

Brooke Anderson had seven points and three steals for the Apaches, who only had four players score in the game.

Neillsville statistics were not provided.

Auburndale hosts Abbotsford in a nonconference game Tuesday.
