Marshfield wrestlers fourth at New Richmond Invitational

NEW RICMOND — The Marshfield wrestling team, ravaged by injuries, brought just eight athletes to the New Richmond Invitational on Saturday and finished fourth among the six teams.

Sophomore Anthony Kanable continued his strong season for the Tigers, winning the title at 126 pounds.

Kanable finished 4-0 with a pair of pins and a technical fall. He is now 23-5 this season.

Noah Schulz went 4-1 and finished second at 138 pounds for the Tigers.

Noah Gerdes (113), Anthony Christmas (132), and Nic Humphrey (285) each took third for Marshfield.

The Tigers are at Merrill on Thursday and will compete at the Freedom Invitational next Saturday.
