Marshfield woman found unresponsive in apartment

MARSHFIELD — A 36-year-old Marshfield woman was found unresponsive in an apartment on South Central Avenue Thursday, according to a release from the Marshfield Police Department.

Marshfield Police and paramedics responded to a report of an unresponsive female around 8 a.m. Thursday morning, but life saving measures were unsuccessful.  The Wood County Coroner’s Office and Marshfield Police Department are investigating the cause of death. An autopsy will occur on Thursday, the release said.

The name of the woman is not being released at this time.
