WAUSAU – The Marshfield volleyball team won its first Wisconsin Valley Conference match of the season, downing Wausau West 3-0 on Thursday night at West High School.
Marshfield won 25-14, 25-10, 25-15, to improve to 1-2 in the Valley. West is now 1-1.
Natalie Zuelke had 11 kills, Ellie Fehrenbach had 14 assists and Anna Ripp added 12 assists, and Jenny Scheppler had eight digs for the Tigers.
Stephanie Rhodes had a team-high six service aces and Lauren Gilbertson had four blocks for Marshfield.
The Tigers will compete at the first of two Wisconsin Valley Conference Tournaments on Saturday at Wausau West.
