Marshfield school district announces policy for free, reduced lunch

MARSHFIELD – The Unified School District of Marshfield has announced its policy for children unable to pay the full price of meals served under the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program or milk for split-session students served under the Special Milk Program.

The following household size and income criteria will be used for determining eligibility. Children from families whose annual income is at or below the levels shown are eligible for free and reduced price meals or free milk if a split-session student does not have access to the school lunch or breakfast service. Information is listed by household size:

Family household – one: free lunch, household income under $15,782 and reduced lunch, income between $15,782.01-$22,459; family household size – two: free lunch, household income under $21,398 and reduced lunch between $21,398.01-$30,451; family household size – three: free lunch, household income under $27,014 and reduced lunch between $27,014.01-$38,443; family household size – four: free lunch, household income under $32,630 and reduced lunch between $32,630.01-$46,435; family household size – five: free lunch, household income under $38,246 and reduced lunch between $38,246.01-$54,427; family household size – six: free lunch, household income under $43,862 and reduced lunch between $43,862.01-$62,419; family household size – seven: free lunch, household income under $49,478 and reduced lunch between $49,478.01-$70,411; and family household size – eight: free lunch, household income under $55,094 and reduced lunch between $55,094.01-$78,403. Numbers on larger households are available at the school office.

Contact your school office, or Central Office, for a copy of the policy or for more information.To apply for free or reduced price meals or free milk, households must fill out the application and return it to the school, unless notified at the start of the school year that children are eligible through direct certification. Additional copies are available at the office in each school. The information provided on the application will be used for the purpose of determining eligibility and may be verified at any time during the school year by agency or other program officials. Applications may be submitted at any time during the year.
