Marshfield Dairyfest kicks off with annual Mayor’s Breakfast

Posted

MARSHFIELD – Hundreds of people turned out for the annual Mayor’s Breakfast, kicking off the officials start of Marshfield Dairyfest.

People lined up to be the first through the doors, which opened at 5 a.m., where they were able to eat as much scrambled eggs, pancakes and, of course, cheese curds as they could.

The fun continued at Columbia Park, where kids competed in the Cheese Chase and Bingo, winning tickets to Vandhey Waters and Rogers Cinema, gift certificates to Chips and more. There also was live entertainment with the Civic Band and Conservatory of Dance.

Today, Saturday, the parade will take over Central Avenue at 11 a.m., and you can find craft vendors on W. 3rd and S Chestnut until 4 p.m., as well as softball tournaments all day at the fairgrounds and more.

At Wenzel Plaza, there will be plenty of family-friendly activities, and bring your appetites for the food trucks.

  • 2 p.m.: Enoch the Eccentric - Magician, Entertainer
