MARSHFIELD — The Marshfield Area Pet Shelter (MAPS) will host its annual Paws & Pancakes Breakfast Fundraiser from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, at Hotel Marshfield, 2700 S. Central Ave.
The event will feature a breakfast buffet with scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausage, breakfast potatoes, cinnamon rolls and beverages, including coffee, orange juice and milk. Nasonville Dairy and Weber’s Farm Store are donating the beverages.
Attendees also will have opportunities to support the shelter through more than 30 raffle baskets, 50/50 raffles and MAPS apparel for sale.
“Fundraising events are crucial to our daily operations,” said Karen Rau, executive director of MAPS. “We continue to see an increasing number of cats and dogs entering our shelter in need of medical care and new homes. It’s more important than ever for the community to come together to support our animals. Without their generosity, our lifesaving work wouldn't be possible.”
Proceeds from the breakfast will help fund the daily care of approximately 800 animals MAPS serves each year. Located at 3500 Downwind Drive in Marshfield, the shelter works to reunite lost animals with their owners and place homeless pets in loving homes.
Tickets will be available at the door for $15 for adults, $5 for children ages 4-12 and free for children younger than 4.
