MACCI event winner goes on shopping spree

MARSHFIELD — Carol Tomke of Marshfield was the grand prize winner of the $300 shopping spree from the Christmas Business After 5 event put on by the Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MACCI). Sponsored by the MACCI Ambassadors, Tomke’s name was drawn from hundreds of guests’ names who enjoyed the December Business After 5 event held at Hotel Marshfield.

Business After 5 is a monthly social networking opportunity for chamber members.

Partnering with Festival Foods for the shopping spree, Tomke was given three minutes to run through the store to shop on Tuesday, Jan. 20. Tomke’s sister JoEllen Heiman pushed the cart as Tomke ran through the store. Prior to the spree, Tomke did her research and knew exactly what she wanted to purchase. She finished her spree in less than two minutes.

MACCI Ambassadors sponsor up to $300 for this shopping spree, and Tomke was responsible for anything over that amount. Tomke’s grand total came to $315.41.
