Dear editor,
I have had a number of people ask me when I was going to do another letter about gas prices. Marshfield area prices are generally higher than any place south from here. I asked my husband why and he said, “Because they can!”
We have been down to the Janesville area a number of times this summer. When gas prices here were $2.69, they were always less elsewhere, but this weekend just took the cake. We paid $2.49 in Janesville and got home and found it to still be $2.69 here. We even saw gas for $2.47. Could the gas stations in Marshfield explain this discrepancy to the public when our gas trucks go less than an hour away to fill up?
