WISCONSIN RAPIDS – An area foundation has awarded almost a quarter-million dollars in scholarships to central Wisconsin students.
This year, the Incourage Community Foundation awarded 200 scholarships totaling $234,750 to students pursuing or continuing higher education.
“We are so thankful for our donors, their belief in the tremendous value of education and the investment they’re making in the students, their futures and our community,” said Kim Shields, Incourage Donors Services manager. “Without their support and generosity, these scholarships would not be possible.”
Since its inception in 1994, Incourage has awarded more than 4,600 scholarships totaling more than $3.65 million dollars. Today, it administers more than 100 scholarship funds.
