MARSHFIELD – Rob Hovick is one of four individuals recently selected to be inducted into the Wisconsin Billiards Hall of Fame ( WIBHOF).
Hovick was among 15 nominees and four inductees for the 2025 class.
Of the four selected, three are based on membership voting, while one is elected by the WIBHOF Board of Directors.
Hovick was the Collegiate Regional Champion for three consecutive years in the 1970s and National Collegiate Champion in 1980.
He was a two-time runner-up in State Masters Division competition and 2016 World Champion in the 8-Ball Senior Division.
Hovick also served as president of the WIBCA for eight years.
He owned and operated a pool hall in Marshfield for nine years.
Along with Ron Dobosenski, Pete Heard and Joe Pechauer, Hovick will be inducted into the hall of fame the weekend of Oct. 11-12.
