Hit-and-run driver kills dog

TOWNSHIP OF ARPIN – A dog was killed and its owner nearly run down, when the driver of a red, four-door Pontiac car left the roadway. The incident occurred at approximately 9 p.m. June 30, in the 5800 block of County Highway N, in the Township of Arpin.

The operator of the vehicle did not stop and did not contact law enforcement, according to the Wood County Sheriff’s Department. “We need your help identifying the operator,” read a social media post from the department.
