CLARK COUNTY – One person is dead after the vehicle they were driving entered the ditch and struck a tree on Sherwood Road in the town of Sherwood, Clark County, on Nov. 23.
“The Clark County Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1-1 call of the crash at about 12:25 p.m., on Sunday, Nov. 23, 2025. Initial investigation indicates that a vehicle was driving west on Sherwood Road East of Sandhill Avenue when it entered the north ditch, flipped onto the driver’s side and struck a tree,” a release from Clark County Chief Deputy James Hirsch stated.
“The driver, Neil G. Pfeiffer, 58 years old, is from the Granton area and was not wearing a seatbelt.
“He was pronounced dead at the scene by Clark County Coroner Clarissa Rochester.”
The Granton Area Fire and First Responders responded to the scene with the Neillsville Area Ambulance Service, Clark County Sheriff’s Office and Clark County Coroner’s Office.
An investigation is being conducted by the Clark County Sheriff’s Office and the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
