MARSHFIELD – Marshfield High School students – Bethany Mader, Abigail Voss, and Lauren Keating- along with Tia Schlagenhaft from Columbus Catholic High School have been named recipients of $500 scholarships awarded by Chapter CL of the P.E.O. Sisterhood.
The scholarships are awarded to young women who have shown exemplary citizenship, a desire for self-improvement, and a proven academic record.
Tia Schlagenhaft is the daughter of Thomas and Julie Schlagenhaft. She will attend UW Stevens Point to study Communication Science and Disorders. Bethany Mader is the daughter of Rob and Leslie Mader. Bethany plans to attend St. Catherine’s University in Minnesota to study International Relations and French. Abigail Voss is the daughter of Steven and Tammy Voss. Abigail plans to attend UW La Crosse to study Elementary Education. Lauren Keating is the daughter of Kenyon and Cynthia Keating. Lauren plans to attend UW Stevens Point to major in Elementary Education.
P.E.O. is a philanthropic and educational organization interested in bringing women increased opportunities for higher education.
