Everest Merchants dump Marshfield Chaparrals

Logan Johnson has three hits for Chaps

MARSHFIELD — The Marshfield Chaparrals baseball team suffered its second loss in a row, losing 6-1 to the Everest Merchants in a Dairyland League game Wednesday night at Jack Hackman Field.

Marshfield (6-3, 5-2 Dairyland League) had eight hits, including three from Logan Johnson, but only mustered one run against Everest pitcher Tom Fish. Fish struck out six and did not walk a batter.

Drew Spaeth suffered the loss for the Chaparrals, giving up one earned run in six innings while striking out three.

Marshfield’s next game is June 29 at home against Waupaca.
