MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Common Council will see one new member after District 6 Alder Russ Stauber decided not to seek reelection.
Jen Delis will claim that seat after defeating Charles Norton, 274-215, in Tuesday’s election. In a Facebook post, Delis thanked her supporters, adding she hopes she can “make them proud.”
In District 10, incumbent Andrew Reigel will stay on after beating back a challenge from Debbie Katona, 262-216. Reigel first won that district in 2023 by just two votes. Both races this time were also tight, with less than 60 votes separating the candidates.
In Marshfield, alderpersons serve two-year terms, with half of the seats up for election each year. This year, the even-numbered districts were on the ballot. But the only two contested seats were in districts 6 and 10.
