Nominated teachers were then put on ballots to be further voted on by their peers to determine the educators most deserving of recognition. On Tuesday, March 24, Crystal Apple Ambassadors traveled to each of the schools to announce the “Teachers of Distinction.”
The “Teachers of Distinction” will now prepare to present their teaching philosophies to a selection team, which will then select four Crystal Apple winners from that group. In addition to the recognition from peers and students, the four award winners will also receive $1,000.
All 24 “Teachers of Distinction” will be honored at the Crystal Apple banquet on October 7 of this year at the Holiday Inn in Marshfield.
This year the Chamber Foundation received a record 1,040 nominations, representing 329 educators in 24 different schools.
