Columbus Catholic volleyball sweeps Assumption

Dons host Gilman on Tuesday

MARSHFIELD — The Marshfield Columbus Catholic volleyball team swept Wisconsin Rapids Assumption 3-0 in a nonconference match Monday at Columbus Catholic High School.

The Dons won 25-12, 25-5, 25-19.

Maren Seefluth had 13 kills, Kenzie Hansen had nine kills and four blocks, Brooke Neider had 12 digs, and Annie Baierl added 12 digs for Columbus. Katie Hall had five service aces, and Baierl added three aces in the victory.

Columbus will finish its Cloverbelt Conference East Division season this week. The Dons host Gilman on Tuesday and play at Loyal on Thursday. With wins in each match, the Dons would win the conference championship.
