Auburndale girls basketball topples Iola-Scandinavia

Apaches host Assumption on Thursday

AUBURNDALE — The Auburndale girls basketball team ran out to a 13-point lead by halftime and held off Iola-Scandinavia 38-29 in a nonconference game Tuesday night at Auburndale High School.

Paiton Richardson had 15 points to lead the Apaches, who led 27-14 at halftime on their way to the victory.

Auburndale is now 12-2, and Iola-Scandinavia drops to 8-7.

Auburndale hosts first-place Wisconsin Rapids Assumption in a Marawood Conference South Division game Thursday. Assumption is 8-1 in the conference, and Auburndale is 6-2.
