Two vehicle car crash in town of Wood leaves six injured
The following information comes from the Wood County Sheriff’s Department
WOOD – The Wood County Sheriff’s Department, Pittsville Fire and Ambulance, Wisconsin Rapids Ambulance, and Marshfield Spirit Ground and Helicopter responded to a two-vehicle car crash at the intersection of County Highway B and County Highway X on Saturday in the town of Wood.
At 2:45 p.m., a vehicle traveling eastbound on County Highway B failed to yield the right-of-way at a stop sign to a vehicle traveling northbound on County Highway X. Six people were injured as a result of the crash. A 16-year-old female was transported from the scene by the Spirit Helicopter. A 12-year-old female and 10-year-old female were transported by ambulance. Investigation is ongoing by the Wood County Sheriff’s Department.
