Linzmeier receives full scholarship to Princeton

MARSHFIELD – Marshfield High School senior, Lucas Linzmeier, has been admitted to Princeton University, Princeton, New Jersey, with a full four-year scholarship through QuestBridge, a national nonprofit that connects the nation’s exceptional, low-income youth with leading institutions of higher education.
Through his diligent work in the Advanced Placement (AP) program, Lucas earned AP Scholar with Distinction recognition, which has propelled him into the top 10 percent of his competitive senior class. In addtion, he works part time at the Everett Roehl Marshfield Public Library, and as the oldest of seven, helps care for his younger siblings.
The 2017-18 QuestBridge National College Match program received 15,606 applications, an all-time high. After a first round selection of 5,759 Finalists, 918 students were ultimately selected by colleges to become recipients. Linzmeier was one of those selected.
