MARSHFIELD — Two waves of thunderstorms crossed into the Marshfield area Sunday night and Monday morning, leaving multiple sites of damage due to wind, hail, heavy rain, and a possible tornado.
Just west of Marshfield, winds crossed County Highway Y heading northeast, downing numerous trees and damaging one home in the Sloping Meadow subdivision.
Storms and high winds also moved through the Manville area on Marshfield’s north side, causing downed trees and structural damage to buildings.
One mobile home sustained heavy damage in the Frey Court mobile home park as its roof was blown off. Another dozen mobile homes and storage buildings in the park experienced structural damage.
Storms moving through the Stratford area resulted in wind damage, downed trees, and power outages, causing the Stratford School District to cancel classes Monday.
