Ten years ago
By selling icons at their store, the employees at Tobacco Outlet Plus supported the Special Olympics. Kwik Trip, the parent company of Tobacco Outlet Plus, had been a supporter of the Special Olympics for 10 years and the year before collected almost $50,000 by employees who participated in a Special Olympics Polar Plunge.
Twenty-five years ago
Opportunity Development Centers Inc. named Richard Taylor and Sarah Struebig production supervisor and client manager, respectively. Both Taylor and Struebig worked at the ODC location in Marshfield.
Fifty years ago
The annual meeting of the Marshfield Clinic Foundation for Medical Research and Education was held Saturday night with a very large group of personnel and community members attending. A tribute to Dr. Stephan Epstein, one of the leaders in forming the Foundation eight years prior, was presented by Dr. James S. Vedder.
Seventy-five years ago
One student at Marshfield High School earned his diploma midyear. Jerome W. Michalski, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph M. Michalski, made up the graduating class all by himself, and the graduation was a one-student commencement.
