Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital welcomes first baby of 2017

It didn’t take long for Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, part of Ascension to welcome its first baby of 2017.
Mother, Inocencia Perez Lopez and father, Jose Guadalupe Martinez Zarsa welcomed a baby boy at 5:23 a.m. on New Year’s Day. He measured in at seven pounds and fifteen ounces measuring nineteen and three-quarters inches long.
Mom and the yet unnamed baby were resting comfortably with other family members in celebrating the new arrival.
As of 11 a.m. no other facilities in the Ministry Health Care System had reported New Year’s baby deliveries.
In addition to Ministry Saint Joseph’s, Ministry Health Care operates birth centers in north central Wisconsin at Ministry Saint Clare’s Hospital, Weston; Ministry Saint Michael’s Hospital, Stevens Point; Ministry Saint Mary’s Hospital, Rhinelander; and Howard Young Medical Center, Woodruff.
