New Visions Gallery’s Fun d’Arts to honor Clyde Wynia
For Hub City Times
MARSHFIELD — Tickets are on sale now for a celebration in support of New Visions Gallery and the visual arts. “Fun d’ Arts 2016: Upcycling” will be held on Saturday, Feb. 6, from 5:30-11 p.m. at RiverEdge Golf Course and will feature live and silent auctions, fine dining, performances by Moon Dogs, and many other surprises.
Funds raised at the event will make up more than one-third of the annual operating income of New Visions Gallery and support the nonprofit community programming it provides.
As in past tradition, an arts-based theme will be reflected through festive decorations, music, and food. This year the committee chose to honor local artist Clyde Wynia, who has given so much to the community through his artwork as well as Jurustic Park and whose work inspired the theme this year. As Wynia will not be in attendance, a video tribute to him will be featured during the evening’s festivities.
Live and silent auctions will feature original art, gift items, excursions, dining opportunities, and personal services. Auction items may be previewed by visiting newvisionsgallery.org and clicking the Fun d’Arts button.
New for this year’s Fun d’Arts will be mobile bidding, where you can enjoy the event without worrying about running back to your silent auction items to see if you have been outbid. Purchasing your tickets online at newvisionsgallery.org will register you for bidding at the event as well.
Individuals who are unable to attend Fun d’Arts 2016 can still participate as a variety of auction items will be available exclusively online prior to the event. Bidding for online items runs from Jan. 28 – Feb. 4.
Tickets for Fun d’Arts are $85 — $40 of each may be considered a tax-deductible donation — and are available online at newvisionsgallery.org; in New Visions Gallery at Marshfield Clinic, where hours are 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday–Friday; or by contacting the office at 715-387-5562 or [email protected].
