Larson out as MACCI leader

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce & Industry and its President have mutually agreed to part ways. That is according to a letter issued Jan. 4 to MACCI stakeholders by the organization’s Board of Directors.
The letter states:
“On behalf of the Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce, we would like to inform you that effective immediately, Scott Larson and MACCI have mutually decided to part ways. The Chamber and its Board of Directors wish him all the best in his future endeavors as he explores other opportunities. We appreciate everything that Scott has done for the betterment of the organization and community throughout his 17 years of dedicated service with MACCI.”
The letter also states the board will “immediately begin conducting a search for the Chamber’s next President. In the interim, we ask that you direct any business-related questions that you may have to the MACCI staff or our 2023 Board Chair, Mark Vieth.”
Larson joined MACCI in November 2006. Prior to joining the chamber, the Pittsville graduate served as Accounting Manager for Wood County Unified Services from 2002-06. Larson was also the Executive Director of the Berlin Community Development Corporation for eight years, from 1994-2002.
Larson is a 1988 graduate of UW-La Crosse, with a B.A.S. in Small Business Administration/Management.
