MARSHFIELD — The Marshfield Tigers girls swim team has had quite a season.

The Tigers have a conference champion, a number of all-conference recipients and they qualified for three events at the WIAA state swim meet Nov. 11-12, at the Waukesha South High School Natatorium.

Faith Risa, swimming butterfly, qualified for the WIAA Division 1 state swim meet in the 200 Individual Medley.

The Wisconsin Valley Conference meet was held Thursday, Oct. 27th in Wisconsin Rapids. Faith Risa earned one of her five career conference championships in the 200 Individual medley, also earning first-team all-conference honors. Faith earned second-team all-conference honors for the 100 breaststroke.

Other second-team all-conference honors were earned by Skylar Onsager in the 100 freestyle, Terra Risa in the 100 backstroke, and the 200 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay teams of Faith Risa, Terra Risa, Onsager and Brooke Begotka.

Honorable mention all-conference honors were earned by Begotka in the 100 butterfly and Ireland Moran in the 100 backstroke.

The WIAA Division 1 sectional meet was held in Hudson on Saturday, Nov. 5th. The Tigers advanced to the WIAA Division 1 state swim meet in three events, including the 200 medley relay team of Terra Risa, Faith Risa, Brooke Begotka and Skylar Onsager. Faith Risa also made the cut for the 200 individual medley and the 100 breaststroke.
