OWEN-WITHEE – Scott Winch is the Owen-Withee School District’s new interim administrator.
Winch fills the vacancy left by the retirement of Bob Houts.
Winch has signed on to serve for one year, on a part-time basis.
He served as Stratford school superintendent for 17 years, until his retirement at the end of the 2021-22 school year. His last day there was June 30.
“After over 30 years in education, serving over 20 years as administrator, seven years as a teacher, and the entire time being involved in coaching, officiating or serving on a WIAA Committee it is time to move and enjoy more time with family,” he said upon his retirement there.
During his tenure, the Stratford district undertook a $16 million renovating and updating project on the Stratford Middle/High School and the elementary school.
Winch has already begun his role with the Owen-Withee district.
“I’m happy to continue my career with the Owen-Withee School District and look forward to working with the staff and school board to provide our students a great education,” Winch said.
