Road construction closes portion of East Franklin Street

MARSHFIELD – Franklin Street, between Maple Avenue and Peach Avenue, closed for road reconstruction starting April 25.

“The work performed will begin with existing concrete breaking by Antigo Construction, followed by the Street Division, Marshfield Utilities, and We Energies. Once all underground work is completed, American Asphalt will be scheduled to place a new asphalt surface. It is anticipated to allow four weeks for each contractor to complete their needed work. During this process East Franklin Street will be closed to through traffic, “a release from Marshfield Street Superintendent Kris Hawley stated.

“All contractors have been notified to maintain access for residents outside of the immediate area they are working. Travel delays are expected and access to driveways may be limited at times. Normal work hours will be 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday thru Friday.”
