The Hewitt Area Fire Department will participate in Get Fired up for Safety on Oct. 8.

For the Hub City Times
RICHFIELD – Marshfield Masonic Lodge No. 224 presented three fire suppression tools to Richfield Rural Fire Department, Hewitt Area Fire Department and Lincoln Fire Department.
“We are grateful that the Marshfield Masonic Lodge selected our departments to receive these,” said Marshfield Mason Lodge member Dan VanDeBerg. “We are residents of the Marshfield area, and we are committed to ensuring that we help make our communities a better and safer place.
“We donate these fire suppression tools in hopes they will never have to be used, but with the hope that should the need arise, they provide another useful tool for our local fire crews to respond to a call quickly and effectively,” VanDeBerg added.
“Having this tool in our toolbox will help our departments greatly,” said Chief Josh Sabo. “We are thankful for Marshfield Masonic Lodge’s commitment to the safety of our community.”
The fire departments also thanked Mark Mock, Betsy Cohn, and Rick Cohn from Fire Suppression Solutions for giving a presentation on the tool to help us understand when and how to use it.
