Crystal Apple winners announced

MARSHFIELD – Crystal Apple award winners were surprised in their classrooms on March 2. This year’s winners include: Kevin Gilbertson of Grant Elementary School; Kimberly Kolstad of Marshfield Middle School; Jordan Rayburn of Pittsville High School; and Jessica Schier of Granton Area Schools.
On Dec. 6, the Marshfield Area Chamber Foundation kicked off their 19th annual Crystal Apple Awards program, recognizing “excellence in education.”
The program recognizes teachers in 10 area school districts, including: Marshfield Public, Columbus Catholic, Immanuel Lutheran, Spencer, Greenwood, Granton, Pittsville, Auburndale, Neillsville, and St. Joseph in Stratford.
Teachers of Distinction were announced on Jan. 19.
The program culminates with a May banquet honoring 24 “Teachers of Distinction and the four Crystal Apple winners.
