MARSHFIELD – The Schalow’s Nursery bowling team of Jeff Hook, Jay Loos, Luke Moore, Rob Warren, and Mike Wilke broke the city record for five-man team scratch series, during Elks League competition held Jan. 25 at Rose Bowl Lanes, Marshfield.

Loos rolled a scratch series of 772, while Wilke racked up 733. Moore and Warren each had 740, while Hook nailed 692 pins, for a 3,677 scratch team total on the night.

The team beat the previous record of 3,662, set by the Rice’s Capitol Carpet team of Tom Drexler, Bob Lenz, Dan Leonhardt, Adam Severt, and Brian Varsho on Jan. 14, 2010, during Thursday United League competition at the Rose Bowl.
