Bomb threat reported in Auburndale School District

WOOD COUNTY – On Sept. 30, shortly after 11 a.m., the Wood County Dispatch Center received a call from the Auburndale School District reporting a bomb threat.
“The initial information indicated there was a message written on a bathroom stall. The message read, ‘I have a bomb,’” a department release stated.
“The Wood County Sheriff’s Department responded and was able to identify the individual responsible for writing the message.
“After a short period of time, it was determined there was no device and an all clear was issued.”
Shortly after noon, students were able to resume classes.
“This incident will remain under investigation and no additional information will be released due to age of the individual involved,” the release added.
