WOOD COUNTY – Prospective members are invited to audition for Central Chamber Chorale, a central Wisconsin singing group, at their first rehearsal, on Sept.7 at the UW Stevens Point at Marshfield choral room, 2000 W. Fifth St., Marshfield.

“Members should be able to sing, blend their voices into that of the group, follow directions, attend rehearsals faithfully, and be able to read music. The Chorale is in need of more tenors and basses at the present time and would like to reach a goal of 50 singers for the 50^th. The group is open to all area adults as well as high school students with appropriate musical and vocal skills,” a chorale release stated.

“This fall’s concert will feature songs from The Greatest Showman, Songs of Travel and music by Eric Whitacre and Ola Gjielo. The Chorale performs three free concerts November 12, 13& 14 and in March at three different sites.The two regular concert sites are Wisconsin Rapids and Marshfield with an additional site rotated between Abbotsford and Medford.”

The Chorale’s music director, Dr. Richard Brunson, is also the music director at UWSP at Marshfield.
