Marshfield Chaparrals begin state competition Aug. 20

MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield Chaparrals defeated the Chaseburg-Coon Valley Blues, 8-7, and the Haugen Hornets, 10-2, Aug. 14-15, to move on to the 2021 Wisconsin Baseball Association State Championship Tournament.
Marshfield will serve as host for state WBA competition at Jack Hackman Field, located in the Steve J. Miller Recreation Area near downtown Marshfield, Aug. 20-22. Nine games will be played Friday through Sunday in Marshfield.
Games will be played in Marshfield and Merrill on Aug. 20, at 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.; Aug. 21, at 10:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m., and 7:30 p.m. Semifinals will be held Aug. 22 in Marshfield at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., with finals at 4 p.m.
The Marshfield Chaparrals will begin competition on Friday, at 6:30 p.m., as they face River Falls.
