WOOD COUNTY – Seven different agencies were involved in the pursuit and apprehension of a man south of Marshfield, after he allegedly stole a truck and trailer in western Wisconsin.

The incident started in the early morning on Aug. 4, in Pierce County on the Wisconsin-Minnesota border. The Wood County Dispatch Center received a call at 4:21 a.m., indicating the pursuit of the suspect had
entered Clark County, where the Clark County Sheriff’s Department and Neillsville Police Department joined in the chase.

The pursuit proceeded east on Highway 10 toward the Clark-Wood County line. Spike strips were
deployed in Wood County, but were unsuccessful.

The chase continued east, and the suspect eventually crashed the truck and trailer at Highway 10 and
Klondike Drive just south of Marshfield. That’s where 22-year-old Timothy Chambers was taken into custody on an initial felony charge of fleeing an officer. Other charges in both Pierce and Clark Counties will likely follow.

The Marshfield Police Department, Marshfield and Richfield Fire Departments, and the Neillsville Police Department assisted the Wood, Clark, and Pierce County Sheriff’s Departments in the pursuit and apprehension efforts.
