Extension Wood County to host Mental Health First Aid training sessions

WOOD COUNTY – Extension Wood County will host Mental Health First Aid training, which will be provided on multiple dates.
“Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders,” Extension Wood County release stated.
“This training will give you the skills you need to reach out an provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problems and help connect them to the appropriate care.”
To receive training, individuals can attend a class on one of the following dates: July 14, Aug. 6, Sept. 20, Oct. 6, or Nov. 8, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Each training session includes a two-hour self-paced online class and a six-hour, instructor-led Zoom.
