Man in stable condition following Wood County accident

WOOD COUNTY – On July 2, shortly before 8:28 p.m., the Wood County Sheriff’s Office received a call regarding a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of County Highway M and County Highway Y in the town of Auburndale.
The Wood County Sheriff’s, Auburndale Fire Department, and Marshfield Fire & Rescue departments responded to the location.
“After initial investigation, it was discovered that a sport utility vehicle (SUV) was traveling westbound from the stop sign on County Highway Y and was struck by a pickup truck traveling southbound on County Highway M,” a sheriff’s office release stated.
“Both the female driver from the SUV and the male driver of the pickup truck were transported by ambulance to Marshfield Medical Center. The female was treated and released from the hospital and the male is in stable condition.”
The Wood County Sheriff’s Department was also assisted by the Wisconsin State Patrol, Wood County Highway Department, Dave’s Service Center, and Draxler’s Service.
This incident remains under investigation. No other information is being released at this time.
