For the Hub City Times
MARSHFIELD – Due to a recent resignation, the city is seeking Marshfield residents interested in serving as a member on its plan commission for the term ending in 2024.
The city plan commission performs a variety of functions that deal with planning and overall development of the community. Commission responsibilities include, but are not limited to: reviewing and making recommendations to the council on conditional use permit applications, rezoning requests, alternative sign permits, amendments to community planning documents, preliminary, and final plats; municipal code amendments; and other items as defined by state statute.
Most public hearings for new development, redevelopment, and planning projects come before the plan commission.
The meetings are typically held on the third Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. in the council chambers of City Hall.
If interested, submit a letter by July 8 at noon, to Amy Krogman, 207 W. Sixth St., Marshfield, WI, 54449 or email@example.com.
The council president will choose one person to present to the common council at their July 13 meeting.
