Four Marshfield soccer athletes receive all conference honors

MARSHFIELD – Four Marshfield girls soccer athletes have received Wisconsin Valley Conference all conference honors

Schilling

Kate Schilling was a unanimous first team selection. Schilling was forward for the season and fourth in scoring and goals with 14 goals and two assists totaling 30 points.

Abby Ongna was also a first team selection. Ongna marked the top players in the conference from DC Everest, Wisconsin Rapids, Wausau East, and Wausau West. She allowed just seven goals in six games to these players who scored 74 goals in WVC play.

Sophia Gruenling received honorable mention all-conference midfield.

“Sophia has great strength in both her left and right foot and played all midfield positions for the Tigers this season,” coach, Steve Lindner said.

Aly Dietsche received honorable mentions all-conference defense. Aly was an anchor in the Tiger defensive.
