BARABOO – The Wisconsin Holstein Association has named Emma Dorshorst as a 2021 Wisconsin Holstein Association Scholarship recipient.
Dorshorst will be receiving the Doris Morris Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship is in honor of Doris, who was a longtime Wisconsin Holstein member. Doris and her husband, Arden, and Arden’s brother, Maldwyn, and his wife, Inez, owned and operated Arwyn Farms in Waukesha County.
Dorshorst is a senior at Marshfield High School and will be attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the fall, where she is majoring in dairy science.
She says that she looks forward to continuing her education and one day sharing her passion for the care of animals as a veterinarian.
Dorshorst is among 12 individuals who have received scholarships from the Wisconsin Holstein Association this year.
The Wisconsin Holstein Association is a nonprofit membership organization with the purpose of “promoting the Wisconsin Holstein Registered Breed, breeders, and owners.”
