MARSHFIELD – Marshfield Medical Center Credit Union (MMCCU) has named David Murphy as the credit union’s next president.
Longtime President Carol Adler will retire after serving the credit union for 36 years.

Murphy
Murphy currently serves as vice president of finance & risk, a role he has held since 2018. His official start date as president is May 1.
“David has a terrific credit union history having worked at several credit unions beginning in his teens,” said Adler. “This is good because you need to wear many hats to manage a mid-size institution such as MMCCU. Since joining us in 2010, he has proven himself time and time again. I am confident the Board of Directors made the best choice to promote from within and I congratulate him and wish much success to him and MMCCU.”
Murphy is a Wisconsin native, originally from the Tomah area. He attended UW-Eau Claire, graduating with a BS in accounting. He also earned enough credits to pursue Certified Public Accountant designation.
Murphy has worked in credit unions since he was 16. He started his first job at Oakdale Credit Union, where he worked through high school and college.
“I enjoy working with our staff to better serve our members, and I like the financial responsibility of managing our members’ money to the best of our ability,” said Murphy. “As president, I am excited to continue our progress forward, to align our products and services with the needs of our members, and to further deepen our relationship with the Marshfield community.”
