For the City Times

WOOD COUNTY – Work to replace the Yellow River bridge – also known as Remington Ditch – on WIS 80 between Babcock and Necedah is scheduled to begin on Jan. 25.

Other improvements include beam guard replacement and bridge approach work.

Drivers can expect a closure on WIS 80 with a detour utilizing WIS 173 and WIS 21 in Juneau and Monroe Counties. Signs will be placed a week prior to construction.

Larson Construction Co., Inc. is the contractor for the $648,225 project. Construction is currently scheduled for completion in April. The construction schedule is based on favorable weather conditions and construction status.

A printable detour map and project updates are available on the project website at https://projects.511wi.gov/wis80wood.
