Fitchburg man arrested following vehicle chase

SPENCER/MARSHFIELD – A Fitchburg man was arrested following a vehicle chase involving Spencer and Marshfield police.
On Dec. 8, shortly before 9:30 a.m., the Spencer police department became involved in the pursuit of a vehicle reported stolen from the city of Marshfield.
“Spencer Police department pursued the vehicle south from their city on STH 13 into the city of Marshfield. Once in the city of Marshfield, Marshfield officers took over the pursuit. The suspect fled to the 1700 block of North Peach Avenue, where he fled from the vehicle on foot, and was apprehended in the 1700 block of North Apple Avenue,” a Marshfield Police Department release stated.
The man, a 36-year-old Fitchburg resident, has outstanding warrants from Clark County for second degree endangering safety, suffocation/strangulation, and drug and driving offenses.
Marshfield officers will be requesting charges for operating a motor vehicle without consent, fleeing, OWI, hit and run, resisting arrest, and felony bail jumping.
