Mae B. Schultz

Mae B. Schultz, 88, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2020 at A Touch of Home Assisted Living, Marshfield.

Due to COVID-19 private family funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield.A nephew, Rev. Doug Hellingwill officiate. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Marshfield.

Mae Betty Sommerlandwas born on May 21, 1932 in Lindsey, Wisconsin, to Hans and Mini Sommerland.

She was united in marriage to Floyd L. Schultz on June 19, 1954 at a small Lutheran Church in Marshfield. He died on March 18, 2012. She and Floyd spent the beginning of their marriage on the Schultz homestead west of Marshfield before moving to the Cary Bluff area. Mae enjoyed all of the beautiful nature at the bluff area home where she and Floyd lived for 30 years before moving to Marshfield.

Mae enjoyed flowers, watching wildlife and caring for several pet Pomeranians. She looked forward to weekly Bible study with several of her friends. She also liked to collect ceramic angels.

She is survived by a sister, Marion Dusay, a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Vic (Jan) Schultz and nieces, Lindsey Mae (Jason) Johnson, Kelly Schultz, Kari (Jesus) Perez, Karmen Toungette, a nephew, Doug (Nancy) Helling, grand nieces, Vivianna Rose Johnson and Samantha Toungette and grand nephews, Wyatt Drake Johnson and Klint Schultz.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sisters, Agnes (Mervin) Helling, Esther (Dave) DeBarge, Irene (Verlyn) Erickson, and Hilda (Lee) Freidel and a brother, William “Bill” (Claudia) Sommerland.
